I've been in the professional pet care industry for the past four years. I started in a local pet store but have since spent my years training, walking, and pet sitting This past year I've dove into boarding and day camps. My love for all animals runs deep. I not only enjoy my bond that grows with pets under my care, but the human interactions that comes with it.
Outside of animals I dedicate my free time to watching mini-documentaries on my interest and hobbies. Exploring outside on our local trails reconnects me to nature alongside admiring our marine life and water ways.
I began my career working at Lacey Pet Supply, where I expanded my understanding of animal care—especially with exotic pets. This hands-on experience gave me a strong foundation in caring for a wide variety of animals. From there, I secured a position as a trainer at a national training chain, where I worked for nearly four years and earned their accredited training certification.
During this time, I also became an American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Evaluator, which allows me to certify dogs for both the CGC and S.T.A.R. Puppy programs.
Most meaningful, I had the honor of completing a year-long mentorship at Precision Dog Sport learning and implementing the Precision Mirror Method. I credit much of my current knowledge, approach, and philosophy to the time I spent learning there.
With all of the current knowledge I have gained - and all of the future knowledge I will continue to gain. My training style will change and grow much like the industry itself.
Along that mentorship, I gained truly significant and touching friendships with other local dog trainers who continue to help and support me.
This was my heart dog. He taught me everything. All my love and understanding for what a dog could be. The first dog you'll never forget. Smart as a whip and the most agile cavalier you've seen.
Charlie's soul. She was my second dog and the sweetest little lady ever. She was content laying in the sun, the grass, or your lap. Strolling around at the park - happy as can be. Such a lovely little girl.
Charlie and Cagney's puppy. She lived with my Aunt and Uncle. Later in life she was reunited and lived with her parents until they left us. She was a perfect mix of the two.
Mr Finnie was the fourth dog to come into my life. A mixed hound dog sweet as pie. A top speed of a trot, the life guard of the beach. He spends half his time in Lavallette and the other half in Key West. He's truly living the life.
Sunny girl came soon after Finn. Sassy princess of the house. She cries if she doesn't get her way and can play fetch for hours. Together they live their life traveling back and forth together. Their owner runs New Logic Marine Science Camp, so they spend their life in the water.
Oh Lady, Lady, Lady. She was my first true rescue. Nine years old, returned three times, sat there since she was six years old. And oh boy, she had a list of difficulties. I loved her so dearly and closely. She taught me the most. If I knew then what I knew now - I could help her in so many ways.
Goofy Ducky! Not my dog, but a close friend and roommate's. I've had the pleasure of living with this standard poodle. Such a lively character. Getting to train Ducky introduced me to behavioral issues I had never worked with before at such a close level. A completely different dog, and so easy to love.
The current dog in my life. Cooper. I did not get the pleasure of training or raising Cooper. This was done by my mentor - Mike Fraas. Cooper came to me later in life in the form of a retirement home. Living with larger dogs and getting older - I am honored to get to welcome such a special little man into my life.
Disclaimer: Ducky and Cooper are the only dogs that are in the house.
